The glaringly absent feature seems to be phone adjustability. Since the phone is affixed to the post stand, can it not tilt up and down? Without that it seems like you'll always need to prop this up and down on something to get to the perfect height.

If you watch the customer video, you can see the phone attachment has a manual ball pivot which does allows angling your phone, so you can adjust the phone position as needed, but you have to manually tighten.
Nice one OP, I found the price chart interesting. Lately the price has been crashing to new lows every few days. I suggest keeping an eye out for further price drops on this item in the days ahead as the trend may continue further which would make this an even slicker deal.

Can anyone share their feedback on how good/bad this is for work video calls?
I don't have this light, but will say that a single light light this is not ideal. I have two wall mounted lamps with dimmable LED lights. I have a strip LED that bounces up towards an off white reflective screen. This gives my face full lighting at whatever level I want, and does not shine in my eyes.
If you get this lamp, I would recommend two of them, one on either side of you.
