Well it depends if you want tools like a drill kit that comes with both for around 80. Or the 2.0 battery kit with charger for 40. Always options with the kits that are on sale.

Don't worry about it. If you're going into Kobalt, you'll soon be drowning in chargers.

Pulled the trigger. Already a Kobalt 24v and 40v user, so plenty of batteries and chargers. Nice to get the 5.0 battery included.

This is gen 2 more powerful than gen 1. Gen 1 is good but the intake configuration always sucks in my shorts. Gen2 apparently minimizes that with the angled intake. With the 5 amp battery which are hard to come by this is a solid deal. Might just pick it up.

In for one. I have both gen 1 and 2. Gen 1 sucks more in that it doesn't blow as hard. It's also heavier and doesn't have turbo like gen 2. I'll be using 2 gen2s at the same time and demote the gen 1 to shop blower duties.

the blower in that deal is only 410 CFM and the battery is smaller.......but you get a charger and a trimmer in that deal for $30 more

Great price since it includes a 5ah battery. Have one and I really like it. Not as loud as others while still blowing a great volume of air. I need two 5ah batteries to do my front yard in the Fall (2 big trees). Batteries last 3-4 years. Lowes gives a 3 year warranty on Kobalt batteries. I use ear and eye protection and put a reflective sticker on the nozzle to make it easier to be seen when it gets dark.
