Give it a try! Not a bad price for 79% wool blend socks. Alternative, Costco sells a four pack of 57% merino wool socks, $18. https://www.costco.com/p/-/kirkla...4000093577

From my experience, you want to require Merino wool, at least 40%--the higher the better. Any wool I've gotten that isn't Merino was NO where NEAR the quality and lacked all of the features I valued (no smell/antimicrobial, no sweaty feet (any other socks I go thru 2+/day), and when hiking: lol, the only socks I'll use now. My Merino wool socks consist of Keen and Darn Tough. I've bought others, but they don't leave the house & are only good for walking around the house in winter. Hope this helps Smilie

Wow, TY for the Costco heads-up Smilie
YMMV, but I've bought the women's merino blend from Costco and found them very itchy so had to stop wearing them. I don't have the same reaction with SmartWool or DarnTough socks.

These were once on crazy clearance in green around 2 years ago at under $5.00 a pair.
My greatest regret is buying only 5 pairs. They're still like new and I rotate them all winter.

Just got two pairs of these in store and wish I picked up even more. Tempted to pull the trigger.

I bought these a few years ago and am happy with them. 80% Merino wool. $12-$15 for 3 pairs.

I also have these, currently $10 (also 80% merino)

Similar experience here with "Cozia" brand, which look suspiciously similar... at $12 for 3 pair. They've been great for me.

Darn tough have lifetime warranty and made in the USA. They will replace pairs for any reason anytime so it's worth it in the long run.

Are these worth the price? I purchased 3pairs of wool blend (15% wool) for $20. Obviously these are much higher wool content. But are they worth the extra cost? Never had wool socks like this and would use for hiking mainly.
Yes, very good price for these.

How are these in cool-but-not-freezing weather? I love wool socks but can't have them be toooo hot since I'm in Texas. The thinner ones work better for me here.

I've read these newer wool socks are a lot worse than the old ones. Essentially yearly disposable tier socks. Not like the old Kirkland wool socks or high quality ones from Darn Tough (and maybe these REI ones).

product on the OP says Fabric

79% merino wool/20% nylon/1% LYCRA spandex

and USA made. however some of the reviews say it's NOT what it used to be.... they prob over the past 5 yrs, cheaped their production a little to still keep them made in USA... at least they trying.

Unfortunately not. This is my first time trying wool socks so I don't really have any experience with them. Let me know how the Costco ones are.
have you tried merino anything? (not being funny)

I buy merino tops (undershirts) it, with a blend of % synthetics (for strength/durability ) keep you warm, cool, and dry...

also made in USA. I've also read they aren't as they 'used to ' be.

Are these good for year round running in the gym? I bought costco wool socks and happy with them in the cold weather, but I feel it would be too hot in summer.

I've tried the Buttons & Pleats brand and found they don't perform like Merino at all. I delegated them to house socks bc they make my feet sweat if they go in a shoe. One workday and I was done. They were worse than cotton for me. They were the first disappointment in trying off-brand "Merino." https://a.co/d/8dLYWL5

Idk if I understand the appeal of these ones when you can find Darn Tough ones in the 15 buck range on sale. Darn Tough has a lifetime warranty, but these don't. Am I missing something?
