Give it a try! Not a bad price for 79% wool blend socks. Alternative, Costco sells a four pack of 57% merino wool socks, $18. https://www.costco.com/p/-/kirkla...4000093577

From my experience, you want to require Merino wool, at least 40%--the higher the better. Any wool I've gotten that isn't Merino was NO where NEAR the quality and lacked all of the features I valued (no smell/antimicrobial, no sweaty feet (any other socks I go thru 2+/day), and when hiking: lol, the only socks I'll use now. My Merino wool socks consist of Keen and Darn Tough. I've bought others, but they don't leave the house & are only good for walking around the house in winter. Hope this helps

Unfortunately not. This is my first time trying wool socks so I don't really have any experience with them. Let me know how the Costco ones are.
They only had women's Frown

Thanks for the link! Not sure why I didn't run across this last year when I was looking. Everything I found was way more expensive with that wool content.

(taps sign) low wool percentage is bad but "the higher the better" is not true https://darntough.com/blogs/the-a...wool-socks

the quarter socks are also on sale for 11.79. i wear these most often with my hiking socks if i'm wearing shorts. they're tall enough that they're still higher than the top of my boots. the lightweight ones are still thick enough to have padding but not so thick that you need larger boots to fit into.

Great link & info, especially for this thread. I was very surprised to see those crap socks I linked to on Amazon were listed as Merino wool (I remembered differently that they were not Merino, nor as high content as listed) bc they suck.

I feel like REI used to have top tier quality. I was really disappointed that my REI base layers that I bought a couple of years ago, already have holes in them with light usage.

If you have costco membership and not needing the socks right away wait until the new year when they discount the wool socks for the next season. They are fine as long it's not for Mount Everest LOL.

They aren't as high quality as back then. I have some older pairs that are great. Newer pairs don't stay snug on my foot for a full day. Wish I could find more pairs from the 2010s

Costco also sells Kirkland Signature Women's Extra-Fine Merino Wool Blend Crew Sock, 4-pair for $16.99 online and cheaper in store. 85% Extra-fine Merino Wool | 14% Nylon | 1% Elastane

The Costco Kirkland brand wool blend socks are durable. However, the ones I bought are thick so it might be difficult to fit with the shoes.

Was this just a one day deal?

On all the socks deals at REI, they show regular price and I am logged in.
