Endorsements by Shaq make me less likely to buy a product.

It's not that serious. If it's comfortable then why not?

Most of the time I feel this way but I remember hearing that he partnered with Walmart for Shaq shoes because he wanted low income people be able to afford quality shoes. He left a 40 million dollar deal with Reebok because he learned a poor woman couldn't afford shoes for her kids. He even had some of the Reebok people design his shoes.

Endorsements cost money. The same product without someone's name on it will simply cost less to sell. That doesn't mean it will cost you less, because greed.

What the heck is puresoft?
Googling it doesn't give me anything, is it just polyester?
I mean at least it isn't faux leather. Where's the people who got the one that was on sale in july? How's it holding up?

For every happy cutesy PR skit there are some equally shady or even worse ones. Especially regarding Shaq.

Dude has made some very questionable business decisions but he's made so dang many that's easy to obfuscate the more ethically-questionable ones.

It's your money...is that not serious?

Most people work hard for their earnings. I'd say that's pretty serious and should be treated with due respect.

According to a generic Google search:

"Puresoft upholstery is typically a type of faux leather, made from Polyurethane (PU), designed to mimic real leather with a soft, supple feel, often found on budget-friendly furniture like office chairs from brands like Amazon Basics or Serta. It's a synthetic material with a fabric backing (like polyester or cotton) coated in a polymer resin"

Sounds good, but when he was a sneaker free agent he was considering Jordan Brand. They made him a Lakers PE Jordan 9. The more likely reason was Reebok had Iverson and didn't want to pay him more to sell less, so he went to a company that would make his shoes exclusive. A Shaq is a Shaq. A Jordan is a Jordan. An Iverson is a Reebok. A Lebron is a Nike etc. He wanted to have what Jordan had at a lower price

Ah yeah looking back at the previous post it used the same phrase, it was just more obvious that it was faux leather because it was brown. Thanks.
I'll pass on this because PU leather peels after like 6 months, I'm already sitting on a chair with all the stuff peeled off lmao.
