Good timing. Left my non-travel pouch in my backpack when heading out to Texas and unfortunately my Leatherman Wingman got confiscated. This isn't as good, but will do the job in a pinch. Thanks OP.

Not the same model but I've had a Gerber multi tool for like 15 years and I use it almost every day. Just my experience. I'd jump on this if I needed it

Decent deal. Military 10% discount applies to make it $26.99, FYI (it definitely applies online, will probably apply in-store). Can't buy it through the AAFES (shopmyexchange.com) portal, unfortunately (shows "unavailable", which has happened before with good Home Depot deals).

If this thing opened up in your tool bag, it would be like trying to break up a fight between Freddy Kruger and Edward Scissorhands.

Good. I have Gerber and Leatherman. And for the common everyday person. Gerber will be a better deal because of the price point. Leatherman however is USA made if that matters to you

Had to leave my other one in the Philippines. They get a lot of use out of it.

I find these lower end Gerbers disappointing. I'd rather have a Workpro or Bibury Wave clone for ~$20 on Amazon.

I have this and I find the Phillips bit much better than the Leatherman. Granted I've had this for many years, so things may have changed since I bought it.

I have too many multi tools but one more doesn't hurt.

It should be bit better than Harbor Freight's Gordon, at least lighter due to the para frame-style cutouts.

I dismissed Leathermen for years but after getting a $100 item off SlickD for $50 I think everyone should own one. They are the rescue in so many situations and the knives are like scalpels (I cut myself handling one casually). The only thing missing on mine that I might like is a scissor.. I see one on this Gerber but I cant determine if its actually useful. It looks kinda too micro.
