Note, this is a factory reconditioned/refurbished blender. It does come with 5-year warranty from Vitamix, but I'm probably not the only one who finds it rather annoying when important information like that isn't included in the deal post. It should really be in the headline, and it's very disappointing to not see it in the description. Leaving it out tends to feel like Slickdeals click-bait. . .

Also, this one uses the "SELF-DETECT" pitchers *only*. There's some potential benefits with self-detect, but there are also some possible downsides and some people don't like that. I'm ambivalent myself, but it's another key thing worth calling out.

I picked up one of these brand new from Costco about 6 months ago. It worked for a whole 7 minutes. It has a little timer that goes when you're using it. What a joke. My old one lasted me about 5 or 6 years. I am definitely a heavy user, but seriously. These blenders are hella expensive and should last more than 7 minutes. The 7 minutes of blending was over about 15 minutes of use, So there was a little bit of time between. I think it was about two and a half minutes of blending and on the 3rd run, it just died. Overheated.

And you do not necessarily need to express your subjective feelings over internet. I have one from year ago. It works flawlessly. And I called Vitamix and registered it for a 5 years warranty. Good luck!
People often look for the kind of insights that you seem to be so upset about. Yes, they're anecdotal, but still valuable nonetheless.

I am not upset, at all. Grow up and move forward!

There is nothing to worry about here. 5 years warranty is more then enough for this blender. If you need more - feel free to shop around. And you do not necessarily need to express your subjective feelings over internet. I have one from year ago. It works flawlessly. And I called Vitamix and registered it for a 5 years warranty. I didn't say there was something to worry about. I filled in factual information that should have been included in the original post and that is relevant and useful for people considering a purchase. Specifically, it was information that I was looking for and that I was surprised was (misleadingly) left out of the post.

It's interesting that you're criticizing my "expressing my subjective feelings over the Internet" when the majority of my post was purely factual and the main "subjective feelings" I shared were my disappointment and annoyance at the low quality of the Slickdeals post in not including pertinent information.

I'm not sure why you seemed to feel triggered by my posting of factual information, other than perhaps you felt that the need to defend your own purchase against some inferred criticism of refurbished blenders? You may wish to consider your own advice in the future before posting. . .

To be honest, I do not know how you are able to find that much free time to pour so much text here in a dead deal forum.

Perhaps you type much slower than I do? My comment only took a few minutes.
