Note, this is a factory reconditioned/refurbished blender. It does come with 5-year warranty from Vitamix, but I'm probably not the only one who finds it rather annoying when important information like that isn't included in the deal post. It should really be in the headline, and it's very disappointing to not see it in the description. Leaving it out tends to feel like Slickdeals click-bait. . .

Also, this one uses the "SELF-DETECT" pitchers *only*. There's some potential benefits with self-detect, but there are also some possible downsides and some people don't like that. I'm ambivalent myself, but it's another key thing worth calling out.

There is nothing to worry about here. 5 years warranty is more then enough for this blender. If you need more - feel free to shop around. And you do not necessarily need to express your subjective feelings over internet. I have one from year ago. It works flawlessly. And I called Vitamix and registered it for a 5 years warranty. Good luck!

I picked up one of these brand new from Costco about 6 months ago. It worked for a whole 7 minutes. It has a little timer that goes when you're using it. What a joke. My old one lasted me about 5 or 6 years. I am definitely a heavy user, but seriously. These blenders are hella expensive and should last more than 7 minutes. The 7 minutes of blending was over about 15 minutes of use, So there was a little bit of time between. I think it was about two and a half minutes of blending and on the 3rd run, it just died. Overheated.
