I would prefer to buy a $100 Lowes card for $80 (or $200 for $160) for true 20% off value. Instead we are getting 16.67% discount. Not bad but not stellar either. 15% off for Lowes gift cards is not that uncommon.

I did not have an issue using this deal the last time it appeared in June I think, and Lowes literally directs you to them on their web page. https://www.lowes.com/l/shop/gift-cards

Just purchased and redeemed 200$+40$ gift card. Don't know what the first two commenters are smoking. It's posted on Lowe's website as well.

I stay far away from purchasing gift cards from these unheard of websites. Buyer beware.

Yeah but it's featured on Lowes page so I guess that's OK. The ideal situation would be to use the funds to buy the cards directly from Lowes but these e-gift cards cannot be used to buy other giftcards, so it's best to spend them ASAP. I lowed them to my Lowes Wallet, so at least all transactions can be traced

That's why this is framed as a "20% bonus" rather than a "16.67% discount".
Gaining an extra 20% (bonus) of value markets better than an effective discount of 16.67%.

Yep, a marketing gimmick, all the way. Hence me lamenting about not getting a true 20% off. But apparently, it's hard to comprehend for some people in the thread Wink

BTW, only last year we were able to get $250 Lowes card for $200. I can't find this deal on SD but I did find that card on my Lowes wallet, bought in November, 2024 and all spent. I don't remember seeing any true 20% off Lowes gift card deals this year, or maybe I just missed them.

Oh, and cudos to OP who thurthfully stated 20% bonus instead of 20% off.

10% is normal and comes up every other week. 15% is actually pretty rare and in my epxerience requires you to roll the dice/play games buying them from places like Dollar General. 16.67% is outstanding. I've bought like 50 Lowe's GCs over the years and never seen above 15%. Can you provide and links to anything that meets/beats this?

Yes, last year I bought $250 for $200 on a deal from SD. This was indeed outstanding. 15% comes up every month or so, and if you try searching SD for once, you may get lucky and find them yourself Wink I do not remember seeing another 20% off deal lately, hense 16.67% takes the prize.

Got my $200 plus $40 bonus gift card in less than 30 seconds. I've been buying these deals from buyatab.com for at least 10 years or so and never had an issue.

I wasn't aware that they were the official gift card vendor for Lowe's. I suppose that adds some credibility to the deal, but still scary reviews for the vendor. Probably best to use up the gift card within the upcoming weeks rather than hold onto it.

I'll never understand people's need to get sarcastic or snippy in the most neutral discussions possible on the internet. I have had alerts set for like 10 years for Lowe's and see the GC offers come through all the time.
