My concern is no future software updates and the app no longer working over time. I guess if you can still get the drone in the air and get video it would still be good.

From what I read, retailers may still sell existing inventory and users may continue to use what they already own. I'd imagine getting replacement parts in the future may be a concern though.

From what I understand, FCC has to approve NEW models of drones for import and will no longer do so. The approvals for existing models, accessories, etc. will not be revoked.

You can still fly it, legally. The FCC has emphasized that the ruling does not affect quadcopters that have already been purchased, and it doesn't impact device models that have previously received FCC authorization either."
