I'm very disappointed to find out that this advanced charger from Anker still requires handshake renegotiation when a second PD device is plugged into it while the first one is already charging.
This results in all devices that is being charged to briefly stop and since I'm using a portable router with this charger, I briefly lose my Internet.
yeah, for $100+ i'd expect better. This is a bit of a novelty item with a kind of pointless 2.26" screen on a device where we don't really need a screen

I'm having this annoying issue with this thing and I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same issue. When I have it plugged into my laptop and doing work or transfering files, when I go and plug in another device to charge. My laptop would undock the charge which cause whatever i'm doing to reset. Each time I plug something new in, the laptop seems to recognized the usb. I tried the turn off the AI function and that didn't do anything.

oh my, I just posted about this issue, you explain it a lot better. So this is a common issue? Do you think a firmware update will fix it? If not I should return it
I think at the $100 price point this is more palatable compared to the usual $180. I have two of these from previous sales. Everyone is right that this thing forces PD renegotiation on all ports when plugging something in, so if that's a dealbreaker for you, don't get this. Also, mine also gets extremely hot but only when sustaining 200W for long periods of time.
But I'll actually say the screen can be rather helpful. It's helped me weed out one of my USB-C cables being 60W despite looking like a thick 100+W one. Sure if you have a cable tester or other gizmo it may not matter, but for everyone else, having the screen show per-port wattage can come in handy.
Again for $100 I think this is appealing, for $180 is where I agree with others I absolutely expect this thing to have independent PD ports and not exhibit overheating or coil whine under load.

Thanks for posting this. I have this problem with an off brand lower wattage device. Are you aware of any 100+ watt (total, not necessarily one port) charger that does not have this issue?

Is there one like this that does not do said renegotiation?
