I'm sure the "bad deal you can get this for $xx.xx with hack" crowd will eventually crawl out, but for those that actually need both a battery and the impact, it's a good deal.

Seems like a good price with XC5.0 battery and charger. I carry this one in my RV to break loose the lug nuts, works great!

I think this is the cheapest I have seen the mid torque for with a battery. Saw the high torque once for $250 but was sold out before I could buy one. Honestly the high torque is only really needed for very specific situations. I know it claims a lot of power but I don't know if you could pull head bolts on a diesel or pull apart trunnions on a class 8 with it. You would still have to grab your 3/4 air gun.
This one here is plenty for the majority browsing this website.

The high torque is 1600ftlb. It's on par or exceeds many air guns.

I feel that Milwaukee is getting up there. If my 1/2in makita wasn't functional I would hop on this.

Meh, I have used them and they still do not pull things that a 3/4 gun can pull off.

This is a great deal.

One thing to remember, Milwaukee has multiple levels of 1/2" impacts. This is 2962, which is about 400 lbs max break-out force, versus the 2967 (also a 1/2" impact) that is ~1500 lbs.

The breakout force for the 2962 is 650 lbs max. Not sure where you got 400.

If you are not already invested in Milwaukee tools, there are better impacts in this class, but at this price point for the charger and battery, it's not bad.

fyi - Ryobi, Ridgid (portable power tools) and Milwaukee are all made by the same company, TTI. However, only Ridgid offer a lifetime "warranty" via their LSA. Provided you register online within 90 days. If you bought a combo, tool, battery and charger, you'll end up entering each serial number and have a chance to upload a copy of the receipt. Your LSA will state pending until verified. If you are getting close to the 90 days, best to ring them and they should verify on the spot. Now, if you ever have an issue with the tool, battery or charger, they'll service and or replace the item. Be sure to re-register the replacement item to continue the LSA.

Whichever brand you're invested in, you can always get a Ridgid to brand x battery adapter from eBay.

As a technician mechanic, this right here is one of my Best Buy's, and I've got all 3... this mid torque has been my lugnut/wheel and much more daily abuser. This is plenty!

Best combo to have is the Gen2 M12 stubby with 550 ft-lbs (nice and small/light, fits basically anywhere, gets most jobs done), and then the high torque M18 for 'everything else'.
