Not a bad deal at all. But it's hard to believe that a little more than a year ago you could've got these much heavier duty, bigger workpro cabinets for $30 cheaper.

Everyone hop back in the Time machine and order about 8 of these. I wish I had. I bought 2 and immediately regretted not buying more. Unfortunately looking at the photos of this deal, these cabinets look a lot more light duty than the $100 heavy duty cabinets from last year.

And for reference. The shipping weight of these cabinets on this deal is 90lbs.

The shipping weight for the Time Machine, $99 heavy duty Work Pro 36" wide cabinets from last year, was 180lbs a cabinet. Weight isn't always an indicator of Quality, but with Steel storage cabinets it kind of is. Usually thicker steel = stronger more durable construction.

And it's also worth mentioning that I love my welded $1000 NewAge pro tall storage cabinets in my garage, but I definitely would've been more than happy with more of those $100 Workpro RTA cabinets at 1/10th the cost.

Yes, because of heavier "duty"

Looking at that deal, this one has higher capacity than the old one. Can't find a weight on the old one, but the SD post listed the Lbs per shelf/total and this one has higher ratings. I would assume they are built about the same quality wise. I couldn't see the old one weighing twice as much with the same capacity, a 180lb empty cabinet would hold a lot more weight than the SD post lists. I have some heavy duty shelving (1500lbs a shelf) that's four times or more bigger than this, and that only weighs ~150lbs empty.

Not saying this is a better deal as that one was a little bigger, and the black cabinet with the grey doors is very ugly IMO, just that they are both about as "heavy duty".

I got one of those cabinets, and I still cannot believe that deal. I mean delivery alone for that much metal is nuts.
And it's very well constructed. I thought it would have a lot more sharp edges and wobbly panels, but it's sturdier than my Husky cabinet.
Any spare room in the time machine?

I wouldn't waste your time assemble this, poor quality. Door hinges look like they super glued it! FYI

I find that HON or Steelcase office cabinets are often better than any of these average priced cabinets marketed for the garage, etc. You can often find these office steel cabinets on Facebook or in your local office supply store that sells used furniture. For those that I have, I attach a 3/4" piece of plywood to the bottom and mount the Gladiator brand casters to the 3/4" plywood. It makes for an excellent cabinet that is more stable / less flex than the ready to assemble units. They often have a 6 shelf surfaces vs five. If you do not like the look of the office cabinet, you can by a wrap of just about pattern you want and installed it yourself.

This looks like the same design I bought last year when walmart had it for 99. For 100 bucks it is a decent enough garage cabinet. My only complaint is that the lock is completely worthless.

How does this compare to other cabinets on AliExpress for similar money? Some claim higher weight limits? What's the overall weight of this unit, that might be a more fair comparison.
