I dont have the plus, but I have the River 3 and love that little guy. We had a power outage this week, was able to get the wife and kids dressed while still dark out. We have used this to power a movie projector by the pool where extension cords are a pain. Very flexible device, i may even upgrade to this higher wattage variant.

thanks had bought this earlier at a higher price and got a price adjustment today. love the unit, and I love it even more @ $200.

pairs well with a 220W ecoflow panel I bought refurbished on eBay for essentially unlimited laptop + hotspot power for hammock remote workdays. I need to do more of those Smilie

Built in UPS. When not in use for other duties, plug your cable modem / router into this device and never lose your internet during power outages. Get 2 or 3 and use the other ones as battery backup for your security cameras in case you're away from home and lose power. These things rock.

I have three of these. They are awesome. Turn off auto-updates if you use them as a UPS though. Updates will de-energize outputs.

They are not that great for UPS's. I thought they were at first, but there are significant downsides, including a recommendation to prevent calibration drift by performing a full 0% to 100% charge and discharge cycle every 3 months, which is a pain in the ass.

Is this only available online? I checked every local store within 200 miles and it says "Item Not Sold at this Warehouse." Estimated delivery says Jan 5.

It used to be but my local warehouses phased it out around June and switched to carrying the Anker Solix instead. I would be surprised if any warehouses still had any.

If you use this as a UPS, test the transition several times to make sure it actually works for your load. We have a mini PC (well under 600W) that when connected to the River 3 Plus we got from Costco (the updated one manufactured later this year), the actual transition time was over 1 second (definitely not 10ms) one out of every 3 or so times. Apparently compared to traditional UPSes these really struggle with some inductive loads. Like PC power supplies.

The problem is they can cut power while updating the firmware which needs internet, so you also need a second UPS if you're going to do that or keep them offline.

This is at least controllable (you can disable fw updates), it's not like conventional UPSes get FW updates often anyways, at least not cheaper ones.

Thank you for sharing this data point. I've seen a lot of Anker lately too.

Here is something $100 more, JACKERY Explorer 600 V2, for double the storage, faster UPS and include solar panel but of course more than twice the weight and no detachable power banks……Any thoughts??

I have two of these. The mag chargers battery is mediocre but the big battery is solid. I use it all the time while running camera and networking gear at soccer fields for live streaming.
