I wouldn't personally be picking a power tool ecosystem based on a single deal. I would highly suggest researching brands and sticking to a single brand so you don't need to keep multiple battery sets. Milwaukee is higher end and more expensive in general. If you only use tools periodically for home projects, I would personally go lower end. DeWalt goes on sale regularly and can be a decent middle ground (I'm on the DeWalt 20v system). Ryobi brushless might be the best value and is very competitive. If I had the opportunity to start over, I'd probably go with that.

Honestly probably a held over option from a long time ago, and from listening to professionals who are also carrying old grudges. But I still hold to my main point that I wouldn't pick an ecosystem for one tool deal. Better to pick the ecosystem first and look for deals. Needing batteries from multiple brands is a waste of money

I am in the DeWalt ecosystem, but prefer several Milwaukee tools. The M framing nailer is far superior to D, but most of the Flexvolts (Recip., "worm drive", 7" grinder) eek out a win over the M brand.
