They (Apple Refurb) had Ice Blue 32GB RAM 256GB SSD for $1349. I about jumped on, as the 15" Air is the perfect size for an actual usable laptop in my opinion. Or at least its the goldilocks of the MacBook lineup currently, as the Pros are both too far in either direction (16" is too chonky, 14" is a bit small/cramped for me - both physically but also 19x12 resolution which is current optimal for visibility/readibilitydisplay resolution for laptops gets the notch area cut off).

They have a Midnight one too that I'm thinking about with the same specs. Trying to look around and see if anyone can beat it. I just need the 32GB of RAM. Don't care about the SSD capacity.

If it was a 15, still not any special deal. A few days before Black friday Amazon dropped
15/ 24/512 for 805, base 13 machines 500 something. These were new machines labeled as open box. Is that machine worth almost double for 8 more megs of ram and 512 more HD space? Not the way I see it. Its no deal really. The AIR machines have a specific use case. One you push them to the max specs I have to wonder if that machine is the best for that particular user. So at that point you move to the Macbook Pro. Thats a more logical choice once you get to spending top dollar for this machine. Thats my take,

this is actually an incredible deal. buying one, thanks OP.
note for everybody else: economically, this is actually in a pretty weird spot in apple's lineup. unless you NEED a MBP with active cooling for long sustained workloads as part of your day-to-day workflows, this laptops's got it all.
oh, i guess except the HDMI and two extra USB 4 ports. that's gonna be really annoying to live with, but this is so much cheaper than a comparable MBP
