I have the "Alicia" from delonghi which is very similar to this (but dare I say the Alicia is cuter?!) And this is not an espresso maker. It makes really strong coffee. Some of us, that is totally passable in a drink or whatever. Some of us would punch a hole in the drywall because their wife bought it without consulting you and your decades of coffee experience and foolishly thought it was a legit espresso maker that didn't cost 11 grand and she loves it. The Nespresso is the move for purist+accessibility imo, but it's coffee- we'll fight all day about it.
