Same here!
Those were the power supplies with the capacitor plague. lol

I just recently opened up a couple of them and sure enough, the caps were leaking.

This is a perfect replacement supply for the OCZ and Ultra ones from back in the day.

I miss the CompUSA and Circuit City barebones systems for <$200. And my knees have hurt for years, hands are starting to get it too.

I went to Frys on my first trip to the USA and bought a Rio mp3 player. That place was like a McDonalds after midnight. Total chaos, boxes and shit everywhere and like three staff. A guy in front of me got sick of waiting to pay and just walked out the door with a soundblaster in a security box, setting off alarms, but no one blinked an eye.

Looks like a Newegg deal coming up at 0900. Maybe!

700-750 is the sweet spot for me.

But it is amazing how Dell/HP can make those low end PS last forever.

CompUSA, the last things I bought there were an ATI Radeon X800 Pro AGP card and Doom 3.

pffft.

When I was young, power supplies only had 2 to 3 year warranties.
