You do realize ALL of these Ultrabooks using Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Ultra Series 2 or newer are now SoC's, so the RAM is a part of the chip. This allows it to achieve higher than the 5600Mhz SO-DIMMs max out at, so they're typically around 8300Mhz or so. Also, did you SEE RAM pricing?! It will NOT get better in 2026, so if you're remotely on the fence or due an upgrade because of Windows 10 expiring, this is a fantastic deal and most should go for it if it's non gaming needs.

Lenovo have really bad hinge issues and build quality. Prefer the dell inspiron 2in1 series for around the same price point. Got better build quality
I buy tons of lenovos for my company, including this exact model, and have not had a single issue related to build quality or physical defects. I'd love to see your source for what you're claiming.

Im not who you were responding to but Lenovo has a long history of really poor hinge durability. If you start type "Has Lenovo..." in google it autofills with "fixed the hinge issue?". Many forums over a decade online discussing it. Basically what would happen is normal use would cause the plastic housing around the hinges to break. I would hope they fixed it by now and I do believe you when you say you haven't seen issues. But it's ingrained in a lot of our minds including mine. I've had other build quality issues with Lenovo as well that I haven't on others.

They do realize that, but they are an uphappy soul who thinks that Lenovo will see their constant complaining about an industry norm buried in the comments on a random deal site.
Not correct. Intel Lunar Lake is how you described it, but not AMD Krackan Point or Strix Point. Lenovo ThinkPad P14s has 2 SoDIMM slots with this same CPU.

Dell blew up the Inspiron name at the beginning of 2025.

have heard the hinge issue for a while but from my experience it is non existence. I have only one bad experience with my yoga. The trackpad is the unreliable part on mine. It disappears randomly and have to rely on touch only mode. Learned that is a major issue. Many threads in Lenovo support page. No update, enable disable works. Magically starts working after some days. It is very annoying.

Most people will never need more than 16GB anyway. Could probably install Linux on it for several years after if Windows did need more for some reason.

Are there any advantages over the HP Omnibook with the same specs and price?

Speaking for myself, I bought a Lenovo yoga in 2016 and it had issues from day 1. There were huge threads on the old Lenovo forum about the screen flickering issues due to poor build quality AND constant excessive fan noise even when idle. Lenovo refused to do anything about the issues all of us were having. Left a bad taste in my mouth for the brand. Maybe they are better now.

Here, here. Several negative comments in here fail to understand what this laptop should be used for. Typical day-to-day tasks, with a little bit of heavier lifting possible. (Photo / video editing, gaming)

An ultrabook cannot be a gaming or productivity powerhouse. It's just not possible with today's tech. There are thermal limits to cramming in an RTX 5060 or more into such a thin chassis. Even the best thin gaming laptops are typically thermal-limited mobile GPUs, with lower peak power limits than their chunkier cousins. The best you can get with a thin-and-light is going to be an AI Max 395, but good luck getting one for under $1500. Those perform somewhere in the range of a RTX 5050 or 4060, you're paying a premium for the thin-and-light body.

I see some complaints about the 60hz screen, but we're talking about a laptop that can currently be had for $474 in Open-Box excellent, shipped, anywhere. I've also seen many Best Buys near me with Good and Fair condition open-box.

This is overall a good deal if you really want OLED for ~$500. The rest of the specs are perfectly adequate for a little bit of everything. Just don't expect it to be a powerhouse with that 6-core CPU. (3x Zen 5, 3x Zen 5c CPU) It's perfectly adequate for most basic tasks. The 840m is not an impressive iGPU, and seems to have similar raw power to a Steam Deck. Games that are more CPU-intensive will run better here with the newer Zen 5 cores, but GPU-heavy titles will probably end up running similar to a Steam Deck or the new ROG Xbox Ally. (Not the Z2E X model!) If you use some aggressive upscaling, most games will be playable. Just don't be shocked when it runs UE5 games like crap, because that engine runs like crap on everything.

My one warning here is that this series of Lenovo laptops has recently come under criticism for weak hinges. I'd recommend treating this laptop gingerly, never putting it in a bag without adequate protection. I see people trash laptops constantly with those stupid laptop sleeves. Those almost never have adequate corner padding.

Just use the "contact support chat" on the site while logged into your Best Buy account. They'll price match even with a basic non-paid account, and with items you've recently purchased. I've done it a couple times in the past year.
