These are the best value out there by far.

Worse sound quality than the $300 options, and no in-device recording, no mic jack if you want to be more discreet.

Yep, DJI Mic 2 as a refurb is what I got a year or two ago for my professional work (after many years of AA battery powered large mic packs). Absolutely love them. Sound quality is great, can easily work w/ the transmitter for dual-level recording so you can avoid clipping, etc with one mic. Internal recording, etc. And the case as its own charging source means that even on most of my week-long event stuff, I never need to USB-C charge the mics at all.

I believe Rode also has a model in that price range, but the DJI ones are great
