That happens if you don't rinse the brew group every week. It takes less than 5 mins a week to avoid issues and keep this machine working properly. People don't read the instructions then complain.

Had one of these for a few years now. For a new one this is probably about as good as it gets price wise. Honestly love mine. it makes a decent espresso, good coffee and the ease of a cappuccino is very appreciated. it can be a very minor pain in maintenance to clean out grinds and re-apply some food safe grease now and then, but I have been very happy otherwise.

I'm going to have to say great machine, as long as you get the right beans. You can stop paying for expensive store bought coffees and other drinks. Its also quite quick. The upgraded version has a few more options on types of coffees it will make and the grinder is VERY quiet!

Got one a couple of years ago also on sale, best household purchase ever.

One of my relatives has the upgraded version with the screen, I strongly prefer the one WITHOUT the screen, because the screen changes you to having to go through a bunch of menus as opposed to tapping the button for the type of coffee you want to cycle through the presets it's much fewer clicks.

100% need the one with the milk canister instead of the steamer tube, it's so incredibly handy keeping that in the fridge

What do you consider as good beans for this machine

Dark roast is the way to go. Just make sure it's not oily.

What I've known about people is that some are total SLOBS...like totally disgusting who can't do just basic cleaning on an appliance to the point where they break down. Then they blame the appliance for their own laziness.

I've been to my sis in laws house and she offered me a coffee and one look at her machine and I totally DECLINED 🤮!

I'm not seeing it mentioned either, and I don't see it on this page:

I have the newer model the 3300 and absolutely love it. I think the only differences are just facial upgrades... once you figure out to adjust the milling level, don't change it, you're golden!
Love my machine!

It just ok compared to Delongi and Ninja.

All the Philip lineup use the exact same inards and use ceremic grinder. The more expensive brands use burr grinder (supposedly last longer and less chances of shattering unlike ceremic).

I owned 2 flavors of these from Costco and returned both and kept the Delongi Evo.

Main thing is u can only get so much out of quality coffee out of any Philips machine. The actual grinds are smaller compared to DeLongi. The water temp on the Philips is just ok....The Delongi has water temp controls so u can program the water temp to max water temp (which means better extraction).

I mean for most people , this machine is ok and it makes good milk based drinks but if u are a black coffee or espresso drinker, consider Delongi. I bought the Delongi during BF at Costco ($499).

The ground coffee pucks on DeLongi is almost 30% bigger than Philips.

True or debatable about some of these points made, but ceramic grinders all day. I had to replace grinders in 2 juras, but never had to in my Philips at probably x2 use. Google will back me on this.
