I'm not a union member but: As noted in item description, a separate clamp meter is necessary to actually measure the current draw on the appliance/device being tested, which is the whole purpose of the line splitter part of this tool.

Lowest price ever recorded by Keepa. Bought one just to test GFCI failure. I have many around the house that are soon to fail. Now, I need to add a deal alert for a clamp meter via SlickDeals!

Grabbed one, thanks - I have a bag of cords all cut up to be used with my amp clamp. No longer required! The 10:1 is a welcome addition too for more accurate readings of smaller loads. No more wrapping the cord up.

According to Amazon, this is not the lowest price. And is pretty much always right around this price. Neat tool if you need to measure amps on an outlet thoughFROM RUFUS, AMAZON AI "Over the past 30 days, the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YT6LQBH Triplett ET200 AC Line Splitter and GFCI Outlet/Receptacle Tester has ranged from $11.71 to $12.06. The current price is $12.06, which is at the high end of this 30-day range but still represents a $9.13 savings off the List Price." The 90 day price is just slightly higher.

What in the transformer is going on here? As an electrician this looks pointless. A standard gfci tester is cool and only costs a couple bucks.

This is for measuring current draw.
If you want to see how many amps an appliance is taking, you need to split the hot and neutral lines so they don't cancel each other out when using your clamp meter.
This does it without the need to manually separate the cables of a random electrical cord you have lying around.
