The S90F is a bright-room friendly 77 inch OLED that stands out for strong anti glare performance and a much lower price than the S95F. It is described as very nice out of the box, with better calibration and enough picture quality that the extra brightness of the S95F only matters in certain HDR scenes or if you want a matte screen. The main caution is that this is an open box TV, so warranty coverage, condition, and possible damage matter. Similar pricing may also be available through employee or education discounts.
Bright-room viewers who want strong anti-glare performance, because the S90F stays excellent in a bright room without washing out color pop.
Shoppers who want a glossy OLED with good out-of-box calibration, because the S90F is described as cheaper and supposedly better calibrated at startup.
The S95F has a better anti-glare coating and can look more impressive in some HDR highlight scenes, especially in very bright setups. The S90F is much cheaper and is still considered very nice, with the S95F mainly worth it if you want the matte screen or extra brightness.
The S90F is described as much cheaper, and similar pricing may also be available through EPP or EDU. That makes it the stronger value pick if you do not specifically need the S95F's matte coating or extra brightness.
The S90F is described as excellent in a bright room for anti-glare, and it can handle reflections well. It is still a glossy panel, so direct sunlight matters most; adding more anti-glare can reduce color pop.
Open-box TVs can come with warranty uncertainty and may have issues or slight damage depending on condition. High-end televisions are especially seen as a category where prior damage or hidden problems are a bigger concern.
S95D is available for $1450 if you are interested in BB.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm primarily looking for the S95F 77" for 4K 165Hz gaming with my 5090 PC. I'm passively looking at the moment. It wouldn't be a bad idea to wait until CES next month to see which OLEDs are coming to the market in 2026.

Similar prices are available on EPP or EDU and no open box depends if you're gonna get a warranty but cyou ups have issues or slight damage depending on condition at bestbuy

No one can tell the difference between 120hz and 165hz accurately so I wouldn't really pay much attention to that

I also like the coating better on the S95F so I'd rather go with that model. Additionally, if I could find a new S95C 77" in stock, I'd buy that and call it a day. I have the 65" model, and I wouldn't mind getting the bigger size.

The one product category I REFUSE to buy open box... is high end televisions. There's just too much that could go wrong, or could have already. Especially in these larger sizes.
Yes it is Except the S95F has a really good AntiGlare coating where S90F has no antiglare properties
I wouldn't say no antiglare but yea they're reflective since it's glossy. That being said it only matters if it's direct sunlight on the screen. If it's indirect sunlight then the contrast will appear even lower on 95F
