If you need 4 now, sure this is a great deal, but if you are buying to stock up or just need one... eh. The packaging is very hard to open and the dye is hard to wash off your fingers. Unless your kid is threatening to eat batteries, I'd consider getting another brand even at this cost.

This seems like a really good deal. I might change my mind after dealing with the blue dye but I go through a lot of this specific type of battery.

It's only if it gets wet. There is no dye from regular use. These batteries are extremely deadly for children, so I'm glad more brands are starting to help the issue.

The Panasonic CR2032 is $7 for a 10 pack, and that's its typical price. I don't need the child features. Am I missing something? Is there documented evidence that energizer is far superior to Panasonic?

energizer panasonic sony. All good. The fun begins if you even think you are not getting a knock off battery from amazon. Atleast you get a chance if the bluing works etc.
Generally the best bet is get the ones that the airtags like. Some bittering agent dont work with them and you have to wipe off with rubbing alcohol.

They will also stain your fingers as well if you have any moisture on your fingers. The dye is in little dots on the bottom of the cells, you can see it.
