Come on guys, there ARE differences between a $5 pair of sunglasses from Dollar General vs Ray Bans from Sunglass Hut. Quality of materials construction is one, durability is a bigger one. Lens quality is a huge issue as well (clarity, UV protection, etc). I mean, a Chevy gets you around like a Cadillac, but there are certainly notable differences between them. Don't make it sound as if there is no advantage to buying a premium version of something.

These are great deals for Zeiss glasses. Very well made frames, hinges & of course the lenses themselves.

FYI: Looks like only one of these options has polarized lenses. Beware if you wanted to use them driving or boating and want polarized to reduce glare.

Same price on Walmart but reviews show this might be a scam-

I can't speak for this brand but in general there is nothing special that makes sunglasses expensive. Higher prices because 1 company owns all brands and it is Luxottica. That company owns all major brands. The brand name is just a sticker of same goggles with different variations. They also owns major stores like sunglass hut. The pricing is just a scam. They drop any brand selling in their retail stores if they sell for lower prices.

The name Zeiss is associated with high end lenses and optics, but the sunglasses are farmed out and made cheaply by one of the larger manufacturers. This price is probably at the top end of what you should expect to pay for a pair of their glasses. The company that makes them, Marchon, makes a bunch of brand names that you could probably pick up at a TJ Maxx for half this price.

The review seems to mostly be about the shipping time, so the seller might be shady. Doesn't say anything about the glasses.

Yup. Almost every sun glasses from Gucci, Prada to other affordable brands are OEM by Luxottica one way or another.

nah dog, this ain't it. Luxxotica corners the market, makes all the glasses so you can't even compare quality between brands, gets in cahoots with the various optical medical outfits. They're literally the same materials as a cheap chinese pair of sunglasses. No one's out here inventing new types of acetate and aluminum for eyeglasses.

I can't even comment on the lenses because there's so little basis for comparison. I actively avoid luxottica stuff and have been more than pleased. It's a total scam.

No, these are made by Marchon. That's a subsidiary of vision insurance giant VSP.

Luxottica absolutely does not make anything Zeiss branded
