Calling all 2021 or older original car battery owners... By coincidence I needed a new 12v battery for my 2021 Prius Prime Plug-In Hybrid EV which had the original battery and died. Lasted almost five years, which is not unusual. I used Project Farm Youtube reviews of different car battery brands. (Credit to many other SD posters who educated me on that Project Farm Youtuber.) Everstart was the brand I looked to buy. A Walmart about 20 miles away was offering free same day delivery for the Everstart Platinum AGM type 12v battery, 140R H4 size, for normal price $189... They also had the Everstart regular lead-based 12v, same size for $159, but no free same day delivery or any other free delivery... I had to go pick that one up. So for $30 more I got a better battery and delivered same day for free.
It was odd that the Walmart "does it fit" feature said the regular lead-based one fit my Prius, but said the AGM one did not... yet the size was the same. Further eval showed that many reviewers elsewhere noted the same problem with the Walmart "does it fit" feature and the Everstart Platinum AGM battery works excellently in their Prius Prime.
I indeed received it before end of day at about 9:30PM same day. The Walmart tracker actually showed the movement of the delivery vehicle with a caricature of the vehicle on a map once it was on the way.... it showed how many stops before arriving. Very cute, actually. Ordered in early afternoon. It has a sticker showing it was manufactured in November, 2025.
