im not sure what hes talking about.. perhaps that this one or some of these have been clearanced or on sale every now and then for pretty low and getting lower...but i dont see them floating around on the who gives a crap racks at all yet... .i run a game shop, they are still hot and popular as ever...even this one here we're commenting on , there are zero around me

It's 100% Nintendo's pricing policy. When you put these things at $40-50, it's not a fun collectors figure anymore. It's the cost of a full game and these things should be nowhere near that price. Hopefully this is a lesson learned, I'll wait for those Samus Amiibos to drop too eventually.

People not wanting to buy an obscure street fighter character for $40 doesn't really translate to "fad" for me. You can buy Mario, the most recognizable video game character in the on set, for a base msrp of $16.

I guess we could argue the Zelda lineup didn't Sam thing, but they released amiibo do a game people played the hell out of. The pricing for those was insane as well.

I am sure we see Kirby and Metroid follow suite unless they just made way less of them. Two set of the Kirby eclipses the cost of the damn game.

Your can actually price match online on your previous orders as long as it's within 15 days. Was super easy and quick and you didn't have to speak to anyone. Didn't realize you can do this. 😅. I do have to give Best Buy a 👍 for that.
