So serious question (not trolling) but why are people still buying Audible if Spotify has all/most of these books as part of a normal membership? We cancelled Audible for this reason, but wondering if maybe I'm missing something (and also trying to help others who, like me, didn't realize that these were in Spotify available in the Premium membership).

I don't use Spotify, so I cannot speak to their service. Regarding Audible, even if I cancel my membership, the books I purchased are mine (for the most part) and will remain mine forever, and I can listen as I wish. If you cancel Spotify, can you still listen to all the books forever, or do you lose access to the books when you cancel your membership on Spotify? Does it have the same features as Audible, download to the device, listen w/o internet, and more?

I think there's a 15 hr/mo listening limit, they don't have all the audiobooks available on Audible, and you can access your Audible books anytime.

I didn't see anything I would typically get, but I did end up using the 2 for 1 on memoirs of all things. The Seth Rogen and Norm MacDonald memoirs are narrated by the actors themselves, and knowing that I'll be laughing my ass off makes this deal well worth it.

Gotta love the Slickdeals.net community - you all are so awesome at surfacing points I didn't catch myself. I didn't realize the 15hours/month limit (but it's true: https://support.spotify.com/ca-en...ium-plans/) and the point about keeping Audible content even after you cancel membership is a good one. In terms of selection I've been pretty impressed but obviously it doesn't have everything.
