You know the ban doesn't shut any DJI drones down, right? If it's here, you can fly it and the ban doesn't change that.

Anything already in US inventory is still legal to sell and own. The restriction is about future approvals and imports. There's no retroactive ban or surprise activation lock.

I would say yes because of the better camera. Normally it's $200 more and to me that's not worth it. This is also compatible with the DJI remote control with built in screen and the Mini 4k is not.

how is this one compare to DJI Flip (RC-N3), Drone With 4K UHD Camera? I like the one i got because of the propeller guard

More noob friendly, better camera and radio system, has ai features but there's a loud whining sound due to the guards

From what I've seen, these are the pros of each.

Mini 3
- Longer flight time (38 vs 31 mins)
- Optional larger battery extends flight time to 51 mins (but exceeds 250g limit)
- Superior wind resistance
- Quieter/less annoying sound
- Able to rotate camera to record vertical video (flip can record vertical, but it does so by cropping so you lose resolution)
- More compact when folded

Flip
- Built-in prop guards (could be big if replacement parts are scarce given the ban)
- Superior camera (equivalent to mini 4 pro)
- Better transmission range (14km, but not really relevant since the "worse" range on the mini 3 is 10km)
- Front obstacle detection
- Subject tracking/automated quick shots
- Can be controlled with remote, phone, or quick shot buttons (mini 3 is remote only)

Got the NEO 2 as my first quad, had fun flying through a park with the Motion controller and N3 Goggles. Surprising amount of tech for such a tiny flying device.

Got my off amazon through FlySafe RC, which apparently is DJINYC/Camrise.
