30-Servings Expedition Meal Assortment $56.03 SOLD OUT
Last Updated by Bostonredsoxfan7638 on 12-24-2025 at 04:33 PM
The 30 serving bucket is a steal at $56. That's $3.75/pouch. Buy buy buy.
The rest of these aren't much of a deal. Normal price is around $10-12/pouch. The 6 pouch packs don't represent much savings. The cans are alright I guess, but those are more for home emergency rations than for outdoors backcountry type of use.
... Said literally no one . . . Ever.
I've never met anyone that would prefer any other brand over mountain house. It's always the first choice. And that comes from a prepper community of thousands.
This is the worst freeze dried food. I eat it a lot while backpacking and I've met literally nobody who prefers this brand.
Compared to what? MH has always been consistently rated as one of the best tasting options for freeze dried foods over the years. Price may not be the best, but taste has always been one of its stronger points.
Sold out on the bucket for $56. I buy a lot of mountain house in bulk on sales like this for backpacking. I missed out on this one.
Definitely a deal but you have to like these flavors or not care. The entrees are generally fine, the rice entrees are pretty 'meh' flavor-wise, but the breakfasts are very cheap to make yourself. Granola and powdered milk, and powdered eggs are very cheap in bulk food sections in your local grocery stores. I think a true slick deal would be the gold standard of biscuits and gravy.

Thats what I've heard as well, and the bucket price seemed to be an absolute steal. I think he was just sour he didnt get any

I think of Augason Farms as something you don't plan to use except in an emergency. Cheap and happy you would have it.
