If you can find the 3700, it can process 11 channels & has access A1EVO.
A1EVO pretty much negates the Dirac advantage, especially since you would have to add the $300 DLBC to this to match it.
This is newer, offers 2.1a, available & less expensive. I set this up with a Prime setup and it is a solid unit.

Yes this receiver can process only 9 channels - Amplification. BUT - here comes the But
Fosi ( is another receiver ), Aiyama 07 - Add them to power up 2 more channels. so you can get 7.x.4 setup with this receiver.

The AVR has to be able to process the extra two channels, this cannot.
Refer to the RZ50 as an example.
It powers 9 channels like this does BUT it is capable of processing two more with an external amp(ie Fosi).
