I agree it's a great receiver, but the current price is only decently good. The RZ30 seems to go on sale often at this price. Three weeks ago it was actually $749, and with the PayPal Pay-in-4 20% off promo at the time you effectively got the RZ30 for $599.

Great price for a great AVr. Andrew Robinson reviews this unit and rated it a better buy over the Denon X3700

Negative. This is only 9 channels processing max.

Some caveats:

If you can find the 3700, it can process 11 channels & has access A1EVO.
A1EVO pretty much negates the Dirac advantage, especially since you would have to add the $300 DLBC to this to match it.

This is newer, offers 2.1a, available & less expensive. I set this up with a Prime setup and it is a solid unit.

I have 4 ohm mains. Those monoblock amps are just the ticket.

I have Kef r5 (non meta), r2 meta, cei130qs, Polk rc80i and SVS sb 2000 pro. Any recommendations for the receivers Denon x2800h vs Onkyo to-rz30?

Assuming you have no brand preference, this offers more features.

A few to point out:
9 channels,pre outs,independent sub outs, Dirac included/access.

Here is a comparison that should help.

You are talking to a Pro bud...hehehe..just kidding.
Yes this receiver can process only 9 channels - Amplification. BUT - here comes the But
Fosi ( is another receiver ), Aiyama 07 - Add them to power up 2 more channels. so you can get 7.x.4 setup with this receiver.

Those are amps to power passive speakers and will not give you more channels to this AVR. Stop misinforming.

Would this be better than Marantz SR6011?

You're mistaken, doesn't work that way.

The AVR has to be able to process the extra two channels, this cannot.

Refer to the RZ50 as an example.
It powers 9 channels like this does BUT it is capable of processing two more with an external amp(ie Fosi).

Here is a comparison to show you what that means, you're welcome.
