Last time my order was cancelled and the $10 promo certificate was never back to my account.
Seems once you use it for an order cancelled or fulfilled, it's just long gone.

Soon as you use it, it's burned. Cancellation of an order or doing a return doesn't bring it back.

This is also true of reward points. Make you you really want an item and intend on keeping it before cashing in a huge amount of reward points on it.

Not true for the second part, IF you're a Best Buy CC holder and have points banking turned on. I have banked many rewards points that way. Only these promotional ones are a one shot deal.

It will not work if you pre-tax purchase is less than the certificate value, even by $.01. So you have to spend $10.00 or more to use it, and it can't be used for other gift cards and most digital currency.

I am a Best Buy card holder and have banking turned on. I bought something expensive and used my points. Didn't suit my needs. Returned the item and was told I would not be getting my reward points back. And I didn't. 🤷

Sent me another $10 after receiving the $10 from like two weeks ago. I used the trick that somebody posted on the other deal, and got it to work with a PlayStation gift card again, so I plan to buy some really cheap games with it for my brother for Christmas. He just got a new PS5 Pro, and I heard that you can gift games to people on your friends list. I just have to figure out how to do that, but if I can't figure it out, I plan to just give him the code, so he can redeem it on his console.
