The advertising for this strip is so misleading. Unless you hide the strip and have it reflecting off nearby surfaces, you are going to end up with the discrete dots showing (like in the customer photos). Can you do what they did in the Ad photos with this product? Sure. Will it be easy? Probably not. The pro version accomplishes what I'm talking about, but is way more expensive.

Is it really? It shows the bare strip and what it would look like if you tuck it away with the hotspots not showing. If you can't tuck away 100' you can use diffusers but it is a lot more work than just sticking strips up. If you are going to have the strips exposed I would suggest going with the neon strips which come in diffusers. The silicone is just a lot more stiff to make bends but it works well to get rid of seeing individual LEDs AKA hotspots. Personally I use this strip to line the underside of my bar kitchen counter top then run it behind a vertical trim panel to extend it down to reach the under side of the base board of the cabinets beneath the counter. I don't see hotspots, it's great ambient lighting and grouped scenes with the Christmas tree lights which I added this past year really make the products shine when working together. I already had up a Dream View system, Curtain Lights, Pixel light, Govee bulbs and few more light strips in the room and when I group them and run a scene like Christmas, it instantly makes the room really festive which you can change depending on the occasion. 5 years ago I started with just the OG Dream View camera system but have been impressed with the quality control and variety of products that Govee provides. I have bought just about every type of indoor lighting available and some Govee Life products I have yet to be disappointed. There are plenty of knock offs for less but if you prefer to use more than one product with one another the simplicity to setup, reliability and updates/product support and a ever expanding eco system of products that Govee provides is unmatched.

Can they work as 2 separate 50ft?
You would need a second adapter to make it work. Bought separately.

Back in 2020 during the Pandemic - I have a 100ft (2x50ft) sitting around from Govee - this same exact one, it was a lightning deal back then

When you go with Govee you get Govee's customer support with amazing simple replacements if you ever have issue with their products, Govee Dream View with sync box or TV Back Light system compatibility, Matter, home integration, the shit ton of scene's to make all your lights work in unison and endless DYI designing. LMK of another brand with those features and an eco system as vast as Govee that sales for less. If you need a strip that only does basic colors and effects then any cheap strip on Temu is the way to go. But you pay for what you get. Except for Phillip Hue which is a rip for what you get IMO. I bought a 65' Govee RBIC strip on 09/2022 on sale for $59.99. When was the 100' strip on sale for $16?

I don't have much experience with WLED... are these strips useable separately if I were to connect them each to a WLED controller? I imagine they're not individually addressable (probably groups of 3 or something like that)? Also, are these strips cuttable if I needed 2 separate ~45' length strips?

This. I own 7 Govee products and whenever I had a problem with one, they sent me a new one immediately.
