Since I don't think anyone's linked it here is that product for the 5 gallon bucket: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../327405616

Great little vacuum to have around when you're already in the Ryobi battery ecosystem. I've used it in the car, around my work bench and even to clean up the last bit of water in a pool. Love the thing.

This compact Ryobi 18V wet and dry vacuum is best for quick cleanup in cars, on workbenches, and around the house, especially if you already use Ryobi batteries. It is light, portable, and handy for crumbs, sawdust, Sheetrock dust, screws, and small wet pickups, and it can even be flipped into a mini blower. The main limits are modest suction versus corded shop vacs, fast battery drain, and a short nozzle that can force kneeling. The 1 gallon body also will not fit on a standard 5 gallon bucket.

I just got this a month ago at this price and it's okay but major drawbacks are it just isn't very strong (I knew it would be less than the plug ins), but it really eats up batteries. You really need a 4ah unless you're only using it for a few minutes then recharging.

Compared to the numerous other ryobi tools I have I usually am impressed how long the batteries last (even in a kids power wheels),but this little vac chews up a 4ah quick.

This is one of the best purchases I ever made. I use it all the time, for things I would have never thought of. Got it about a year ago and I think I paid $40.

That said, I ended up regretting not getting the one with tubes. I ended up paying more to buy them as an accessory later on.

You clearly do not understand how these types of vacuums work if you think it would work without a perfect seal on the bucket. Show me a single example of what you are saying this is capable of doing.
Removed reference to the bucket. Wink

This has been this price for a few months now, I grabbed one when it was first posted. Great little vacuum.
Same for me I actually bought two. One for myself and I'm happy with it works well for small cleaning jobs where I dont want to drag out my corded vacuum. The other is a present for my brother. I was wondering how in the world this was on slickdeals when it has been this price for awhile.

My thing is...is it worth having a vac that isn't brushless? Seems like one area where brushless is the way. Power, efficiency, noise...

$50 price seems to happen often, but I own 2 and these things are GREAT. One of my favorite tools. Keep one on the work truck, and another around the house. I barely use my corded shop vacs anymore. It's not as powerful as corded, but still pretty strong. Great for cleaning up general messes... and you won't piss off your wife by using the house vac 😉

Yeah me too. This thing is so awesome. I have a big 5 gallon corded one that I have always used but it's such a hassle getting it out of my closet. This thing is so light weight and does a wonderful job. Haven't tried vacuuming anything wet though.
I learned that we can print a 3D adaptor and use a certain vacuum bag in this. So the general filter doesn't get dirty. So far I've had it using general clean up without pulling out a plug to clean things up when I finish drilling or cutting something.

I use a nylon stocking over the filter to keep out the bigger stuff then tap filter to get the dust off.

Is this vac strong enough to suck out clogged HVAC condensate drain lines ?
No. This is more of a "crumbs on a car seat or wood dust on a workbench" type thing.

Use this thing to clean cars. Worth every penny. I have been looking to find an accessory pack that fits it though. Any recommendations?

I measured the nozzle at 1 1/8 inch but tapers upward so it's considered a 1 1/4 mount. Here is Ryobi's official wet/dry accessory kit [homedepot.com] but any 3rd party 1 1/4 kit should work.
