Looks like shipping kills the deal unless you're spending $50+?

Lol I'm not overweight if that's what you're implying. Or perhaps that something else is a sign of their low quality elastic they use?

No personal hate with the brand. I do like the the base material they use. Very breathable and lots of room in the crotch area. Not that I have a big wang or anything but it still helps they add extra room in that area where most other brands don't.

But I'll reiterate, their elastic waist band sucks.
Supposedly the waistband gets destroyed by your dryer, or maybe fabric softener. I have one pair of armachillo but it is like a decade old so I can't say from personal experience, but I do wash with cold water, hang dry, and use very little detergent personally, and all my clothes last forever basically.

I also normally turn my clothes inside out before washing

I agree with you. Duluth buck Naked underwear used to be amazing 4-5+ years ago but ever since they switched to the 'BUCK NAKED' branding on the elastic it has gone down hill.I used to buy ~15 pairs at a time and that would last me 2 years or more. Last year I bought 6 of them during the black friday sale and none of them made it a year. They all started separating at the elastic seams and getting real bacony after couple months. I usually wear XL and they aren't tight but I thought maybe I should try a size up, so I picked up an XXL and they were almost falling off, so I doubt its a matter of size.

Do you just wear Christmas underwear all year long?
Yep, no way I am paying full price for non seasonal briefs. That is why I appreciate them including two solid colors Smilie

I have several pairs that are a decade old that are near the end of their life. I've thrown away pairs that are a couple of years old now due to elastic stretching out. Think this was a case of cutting cost or engineered failure in an attempt to increase short term revenue and while capitalizing (and burning through) the brands reputation. Haven't found a brand I like as much as the old ones.

I bought these previously because people rave about them, but I found them to be uncomfortable and fairly low quality compared to others. Ended up throwing them out.

I got these two years ago, they're well built and look as good as they day I got them (and, yes, I do wear Christmas undies all year).

That being said... Not comfortable material for me, the cut is fine, it is the material itself that feels cheap. MeUndies are better for synthetics, but 100% cotton are the goat. They last less long but the comfort in all conditions is worth the trade.

Wish someone sold a 100% cotton with a ball poach cut.

I agree regarding their elastic. 4-5 years ago their elastic was much better and the fabric did not pill as easily either. I like the wide waistband, but it doesn't hold up like it used to. I used to go for Ex Officio but their waist band material went downhill too.

100% cotton only works if you aren't active. Once you sweat, those boxers will be wet all day long.

I'm extremely active, and synthetics rub whereas cotton does not.

Yep these used to last. Now the elastic goes quickly and is now a no go on these.

It's a choice the company has made because the armachilo waste band does last alot longer.

Bare naked jump d the shark.
