Having Google One subscription counts as having existing Gemini subscription and gets denied from this offer. Don't know what Google means by this but it is so stingy.

I read through the thread, but I couldn't find answer to, how is 2TB split up between all the family members? Is it just a single pool like shared drive and everyone has access to everything or is certain amount given to each family member?

I think it's a shared pool. So yes if one person is using 1.9TB (which would be a s..t to !) then others most likely get .1TB shared across. But that is still a lot more than the standard 15gb.

All 5 members SHARE the 2TB and all other services that are included in the family subscription.

It's stuff like this that pisses me off. So I'm on a 2 or 3 month trial for like $3/mo. I checked to see if I could upgrade to this deal because I would do it, but there was no option. So when my trial is up I'm cancelling and going back to the 200GB a month plan, all too often Google screws me, it's bad enough their current family bundled products don't align. Meaning YouTube Premium and Google One Pro AI (or whatever it's called) should have a family bundle option discount. They don't. Well, here's to hoping when I downgrade they make an offer because there's no way I'm paying full price for their Google One AI Pro offering.

If It's only another month, why not sign up with another email account and then you can share this with yourself and family if desired when your trial is over.?

Yes, and Samsung has been giving 6-12 months free with new phone purchase (and new S26 lines come out in late Jan early Feb) and I'm thinking that Apple is going to make a Gemini deal in late Q2 early Q3, and it will probably entail some sort of free Gemini AI pro for 6-12 months with purchase of a new device.. Rumors are that Apple will release iPhone 18 in early to mid summer next year 2026, and it would then include free Gemini.. so google is POSSIBLY trying to get a lot of payers now, for what will be partially paid, promo, sponsored by Apple come next year.. mind you, this is ALL speculation on my part as of right now.

anybody have any luck canceling and removing their google 1 ai account and then getting the offer??? I am on their 9.99 for two month offer for google 1 ai. If i cancel and remove it from my accounts, will the offer show up??? Anyone try this???

This process will NOT result in data loss. You can even read it in the warning notice that you have to acknowledge to complete the process.

I did this this morning to do exactly what I suggested. No data/photos nor functionality were lost.
