Looks like there also deals on other packages. You can get the matteries with:
A leaf blower
A multitool
More batteries
An impact driver
Etc.

Considering how infrequently Makita stuff goes on sale, hopefully someone finds this useful.

I got the deal at Lowes a few weeks ago. Charger and 2 2ah batteries with a free tool for $179. I opted for the 7 1/4 compound sliding miter saw. The saw was almost $400 by itself, so a hell of a deal.

That's one hell of a deal, especially for 2ah which are pretty hard to come by for cheap and imo the best battery for drills and drivers.

What is going on at SlickDeals?

1) this has been a promo since before BF. Active every day since.

2) What are with the replies? Are they AI generated? All accounts with no to low posts talking gibberish. Makita at Lowes? Nope. 2Ah the best battery and hard to come by? What?!

This site is becoming unbearable. So much promoted slop. Most of the HD deals being push to front page have been everyday holiday sales active for a month now.

Have been navigating all the shilling and promotion from staff with the community posts, but your correct, that now has been compromised also. Getting real hard to buy any sh*t SD is selling.

I also find it strange the comment about the 2 Ah battery

They're saying 2ah are best for comfort I'd imagine. A 4 or 5 ah battery is higher capacity but weigh a lot more. For something that's a single-handed tool like a drill or impact driver, having it be lighter weight saves your energy over the course of hours.

Also while I hear what folks are saying about shilling, the two accounts in question are from like 2017. That's quite a long con unless SD is spoofing join date too lol

I'd say the deals that I see on this site for tools are very much questionable. Constantly alerted about meh deals and it's hard to believe that anyone would even post them. Take for example all the posts for drill bits, especially the Makita impactx bits. Garbage and Makita is my ecosystem.

I find better deals in Canada, and it's weird that SD deals aren't comparable. I used to shop a lot more in the states, but it's just not as cost effective anymore.
