Disgusting that they don't just give an update to the 3d all stars version. They could easily and cheaply do it.

Then don't buy it and stop complaining about it.
Hate this thinking. It implies you're only allowed to comment if it's positive. Doubt you've ever replied "just buy it and shush" to someone who said "great deal! In for 1!"

And fwiw you're complaining about someone else's complaint which by your logic should be even worse

New Mario Galaxy movie coming out next year April 2026, so some people may want to replay this game before watching the movie. I played both games on Wii and remembered they were quite fun.

Exactly, this doesn't seem right, two remakes rolled into a single game AND on woot for essentially MSRP (since it's not a switch 2 version.) Plus Christmas shopping is behind us now, I would not be surprised at all to see this drop to $50 in a few weeks (not directly from Nintendo of course.)
they are not remakes, they are basic ports

As much as i highly disagree with Nintendo's pricing. I had a lot of great memories playing this game as a teenager and would love for my kids to experience it as well. Plus i feel like you can easily sell this for the same price in the future so thanks OP, grabbed a copy
you disagree so bad you are enabling that pricing....

I want this game, but Nintendo charging this much for a remake is greedy.

I'm pretty sure I paid less for both games combined in the Wii era. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe one of these Mario Galaxy titles was a "Nintendo Selects" title that Nintendo used to discount after an initial sales run to less than $20 to reach a larger audience…it was the complete opposite of their greedy and elitist approach of milking customers these days and considering their properties a "premium" gaming product.

Then that will years from now and I hope it's like the other Mario collection and it's out of print
lol, why do you hope it's out of print?
Do you work for Nintendo and it personally benefits you when people pay 2025 pricing for a 20 year old games?

Ended up buying from Groupon because it was cheaper and shipping was lower. Never played it so I will play with my kids. I think a lot of broke people play video games because all they do is bitch about prices. If you don't like it then don't buy it. Nintendo makes great stuff and people are obviously buying so it's priced right. If you want a deal on games get an Xbox. Or get a job.

It's not even a remake. It's just a straight port. I agree with the sentiment that this is way overpriced even after accounting for Nintendo's usual pricing. I would've been okay with this pricing if these were remakes. Even a remake takes a lot of work, but there is no new design involved, so they are cheaper to make. Given that fact, a two game remake bundle for $70 would've been fine. For a straight up port like this with no work done on them, $40 MSRP would've been appropriate I think.
