You mean b4 government bans TP-Link, CCP used TP-Link devices to launch one of the largest CyberWarfare attacks in US history in March 2024, Volt Typhoon and the other classified ones...water supply systems in several US states so completely compromised they asked for "White Hat" hacker volunteers at DefCon August 2024. Cellular networks so completely compromised they may never be fully recovered, and just launched similar attacks in UK, EU to coincide with PLA live fire drills for Taiwan 2027.

These cams should be compatible with Thingino open source firmware., We've had one user appear with one and it uses the Ingenic T23 processor. Presumably it uses the SC3336 sensor, as Tapo claims it is 3 megapixel and they use that sensor in another device (C110). This is a pretty good price for a pair of 3 megapixel cams, i've ordered some but they're 10 days out. Once I have them, expect a video on the wltechblog youtube channel.

Thingino is a full replacement firwmare for IP cameras based on Ingenic processors, that removes them completely from the manufacturer's ecosystem and allows you to use them with local tools (such as Home Assistant, Frigate, Unifi Protect, Blue iris, anything that works with ONVIF/RTSP). Any concern you may have about TP-Link won't apply if you flash it to Thingino, which is developed publicly on Github.

I think it's worthy to mention if the US gov is actually considering banning their products. CCP is everywhere, constantly abusing and manipulating and must be stopped. Everyone that cries the US gov is equivalent or worse has no clue what a real well organized police state gov is even tho we are taking steps toward it.
