It is absolutely not worth the price anymore.
I had a 2015 and 2017 bottle - paid $300-400 each.. both smelled fantastic and lasted me years (like 5 years with occasional use). One spray was WAY more than enough for the day.
This new stuff is watered down garbage. It smells the same, yes. But the projection and longevity are awful. It takes 3 or 4 sprays to get a good scent, and it's almost gone by the time I get to work (45 minute drive). Cremo lasts longer. Just avoid - the old Aventus is dead.
Community Reviews
Creed Aventus is still prized for its smoky pineapple scent, but the community focus is on whether the current bottle justifies the premium. The current Costco price around $239.99 after rebate is viewed as decent by some, especially versus past prices near $270 or more, and Mont Blanc Explorer, Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Extrait, and Parfums Vintage Emperor Extrait come up as popular alternatives. The main concern is weaker newer batches, with shorter longevity, softer projection, and a scent that no longer matches older bottles as closely. A solid option if you want the name and profile, but the value depends heavily on batch and expectations.
The deal price may still feel attractive compared with prior lows around $200 to $230.
Some buyers view $240 as an excellent price based on earlier purchases at higher prices.
Extrait and limited edition versions are described as not harsh and as great options.
Some alternatives like Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Extrait are recommended as reasonably priced substitutes.
Newer Aventus bottles are reportedly watered down with weaker projection and shorter longevity.
Aventus performance is described as requiring multiple sprays and fading quickly during a commute.
Aventus quality and scent longevity are reportedly worse after the company was sold.
Batch-to-batch variation is reported as significant, and current versions are described as trash compared with older bottles.

I'd look up recent warnings and know what you're getting, or better yet just stay away. It should come as no surprise, but justified disappointment, that many of the products today are turning out to be hazardous or at best "less than good" for you.
Up to you, but it would behoove you to at least look it up and spend a little time reading.
Merry New Year....
