They sold the company and the quality and how long the scent lasts has gone downhill.

Exactly!
It is absolutely not worth the price anymore.
I had a 2015 and 2017 bottle - paid $300-400 each.. both smelled fantastic and lasted me years (like 5 years with occasional use). One spray was WAY more than enough for the day.
This new stuff is watered down garbage. It smells the same, yes. But the projection and longevity are awful. It takes 3 or 4 sprays to get a good scent, and it's almost gone by the time I get to work (45 minute drive). Cremo lasts longer. Just avoid - the old Aventus is dead.

Parfums Vintage Emperor Extrait is by far the best clone. If you want more pineapple, get the Pineapple Vintage Intense. These clones are a little pricier, but outperform the the real thing and are comparable to the older batches of Aventus. I bought a bottle from Costco last year. And while the scent profile is still there, it doesn't come close to the old 2016-2017 batches. Creed has gone down hill with their quality control.

Why's Creed so expensive and why you buy it?

PSA - There are recent warnings about all products using the term "parfum" or "parfume". I'd look up recent warnings and know what you're getting, or better yet just stay away. It should come as no surprise, but justified disappointment, that many of the products today are turning out to be hazardous or at best "less than good" for you. Up to you, but it would behoove you to at least look it up and spend a little time reading.Merry New Year....
Sounds tin foil hatty to make a blanket statement about anything with "parfum". All that term means basically is concentration.

Fragrance is a common allergen so I can understand some people not reacting to it well but that doesn't equal "hazardous".

While we're at it we should probably take a deeper look at dihydrogen monoxide that's been popping up in some products at the supermarket...

Okay. Ryan, you told Toby that Creed has a distinct old man smell?

Damn you guys are balln spending this much on cologne. I thought people couldn't afford groceries right now?
Data is pointing to the US economy growing right now. Americans are spending what they don't have and buying things they don't need. I would say that's case in point for this product and this site in general.

My favorite thing about Aventus threads on SD are the posts from people who don't like it, never used it, or don't care anything about it telling the few that are interested that's it's overpriced, hated by women and overrated.

Yeah, I get it; H2O is a scary thing in the wrong hands. However, no tin foil hat on this one, though they can be quite attractive. Smilie

It's just a suggestion to do some research because some of this stuff (specifically sold under the Parfum/e rubric may be full of toxins). This is very new research but I'm neither an MD nor a PhD researcher (nor do I play one on TV).

There are researchers that I respect however, and though I can no longer do the organic chemistry metabolite break downs I once could/learned (epidemiology at Yale med), there are some aberrant paths this stuff can take. Basically, we're not treated well by most industries when making money is paramount.

Of course anyone is free to eat "cheese like substances" that come from a pressurized can as well. It's still somewhat of a "free" country. Merry New Year...nod

If this was a video game deal, it would have 147 thumbs up. I like to smell good.

One spray bro, the dupe is strong and harsh. Smells better on the comedown
Extrait is not harsh, your talking about EDT. Limited edition is also great

LONG. Projection and sillage is 10/10, too bad its not my favorite scent. But I am talking about the EDT though, might try the extrait
