HP has a Bluetooth mouse named 240 as well. It is not as good as Logitech because it does not work on all surfaces. Logitech mouse usually works on glass table without a mouse pad.

No dongle, right? My kid needs it for school, but they don't have assigned devices yet, so she needs a dongle.. easier than trying to pair them up each time.

Just today I picked up from walmart a logitech m220, which looks to be like the m240 but using a dongle instead of using bluetooth.

The same Amazon webpage has the dongle version Logitech M240 Wireless mouse available in different colors starting @ $12.95 in "swift gray" with "Used - Like New" options available for $8.71 or less which is what I've been buying lately for my work to save money & with excellent results.

FWIW, check Target's clearance area in their computer section. My local store has the M196 Logitech BT mouse on clearance for $3.89.
