This is a decent deal if you're willing to purchase an open box gpu (which comes with a 2yr warranty according to zotacs' policy), but it's worth noting that this is the slower gddr6 version of the rtx 4070, rather than the original superior gddr6x version. The gddr6 version is somewhere between 2%-5% slower on average than the original 4070 at stock settings due to the reduced memory bandwidth. I've also anecdotally heard that the gddr6x in the 4000 series tends to overclock better than gddr6 on average, so if you'd be tuning your gpu the gap may widen. While 12gb of vram is mediocre at this point, it should still be fine for a couple of years at 1440p considering the performance this card offers. The rtx 5000 series is primarily a refresh of the 4000 series, the only major selling point of current gen cards is mfg (multi frame generation). Mfg is ultimately a feature with very limited utility for most users, so you're not missing out on much by going with a last gen 4000 series card (which already supports 2x frame gen, just not 3x and 4x multipliers). I give a brief breakdown of multi frame gen in this previous thread, for anyone curious if they'd benefit from a current gen card: https://slickdeals.net/f/18928435-msi-geforce-rtx-5050-8g-shadow-2x-oc-210-or-190-after-rebate?p=180921115#post180921115

Solid. still faster than a 5060TI 16gb, and 12gb is sufficient for the speed of this GPU

Pretty decent price for refurb'd 4070 especially for its performance.

I don't love Zotac, but this is $100 cheaper than the 5070 deal.

Add "12GB GDDR6" in title or description please?

Exactly, don't know why they're hiding that info that this card is crippled

And all you people thumbing me down are either licking Jensen's boot really good or letting Nvidia get away with being cheap on not upping the VRAM to 16GB and leaving it exclusive to their Super Duper 4070 Tie Ultra.

Of course, it's too late now because of AI sucking up RAM and NANDs like a hooker who's about to die from STDs from other dirty clients (ie. when the AI bubble burst).

Very nice card for the price. Forget the overpriced, underwhelming 5060 and 5070, and get this instead.

Wouldn't is still be better to go with the 5060ti1 16gb at a slightly cheaper price over this? this card only has 12GB of memory.

I hate the comments act like everyone is out to upgrade to 4K 120hz. Over 50% of users who take the survey on steam are still using 1080p, a vast majority are using 1000 series or lower video cards. So to my point, yes this isn't gddr6x but we can also comment on the users who are on very old hardware looking for a boost. Where 12 GB of vram is overkill for 99% of the fortnite, whatever mobile mmo they are playing. So yes for the 30% of people trying to play 1440p to 4K is a ok/ so so upgrade. For the other 70% of you, this is a great card for the price.

$400, open box (used), and only 12gb ram.
Pass unless you desperately need a GPU right now.

Thanks for the post OP I'm in for one, seemed like a good upgrade my rx 6750xt, which I can probably still resell for a decent chunk of the cost.
