That's a pain. Sounds like a bad device. I bought an ONIX B580 almost one year ago and it's been solid and plays everything thrown at it -- older and newer games without problems with good frame rates at 1440p. I've not found something yet that it's not run well. I haven't tried DX9 games though and no emulators either. It's in a computer with ReBAR, so that helps.
