This is correct, and the deal is still active (linked below):

EDIT: Just realized the target one is a lift-stand and this one is a tilt, I'd probably still go with the more powerful motor.

Yes, I believe they don't make higher power ones with tilt. So, if you want the power and need it, get the lift. But, if you dont want/need the power, then get tilt for the convenience.

Watts doesn't equate to how powerful the motor is. The power factor of an electric motor also determines how powerful a motor is, though I don't think it could account for the 175 watts difference.
