Had two of these running from their black Friday sales and they've been great paired to hubitat and home assistant. The 2 pack is the same price per unit as a heads up.
Any reason why these are better than the typical Bluetooth temperature/humidity sensors with display? This is about double the price. I haven't had any issues using the cheaper Bluetooth ones with home assistant, so just curious what the advantages are for zigbee thermometers.

Maybe range? If there are wired zigbee devices they can act as repeaters. Can be done with Bluetooth and esphome as well, but that's an extra device just for that purpose.

Zigbee is a lower power wireless connectivity standard so it can save on replacement batteries over time compared to Bluetooth connected devices. Zigbee requires a separate bridge/hub device to wirelessly connect with the sensor to receive the data so you'd need more than just this sensor to get started.

I had the same thought, and ordered 2 Govee Bluetooth devices for a little more than the price of this ThirdReality Zigbee device. I have a number of ThirdReality products and they're great, but figure I'll give the Govee devices a try.

They have been working well for me for a few years now. Home assistant connects to them directly over Bluetooth, no cloud service required.

Thanks - my Govee order arrives today and I'm going to set them up in our two full baths to monitor humidity, and likely set up automations to trigger exhaust fans when humidity levels rise with shower use.

Good application. I'm planning to do the same in the future, but don't have smart control of the bathroom fans yet. I've been using mine as remote thermostats to control the heat/AC, and to monitor refrigerator/freezer temperatures.

This is the brand that was responsible for making those attachments for Echo Flex units.
It's a pretty reliable brand.
I still use my Echo flex motion sensors that Ive had for 5+ years at this point
