Komelon makes great tape measures. One of my all time favorites used to be sold at walmart for like $6 and they just worked perfect, were super ergonomic and far outlasted any other brands.

I really like the brand price seems pretty good if you have one local.
I like that they have the fractions on the tape measure.

Lots of stores showing "limited availability" around the Raleigh/North of Durham areas. $6.99 when added to cart here too. I'd buy one, but we already have 20+ tape measures, and my wife would kill me if I brought more into the house, lol.

Change to millimeter marked tape measures. It makes life much simpler.

Not true at all for construction. Pulling 16" centers in millimeters is no fun and metric is much harder to visualize. Remember metric was brought to us by the same regime that brought in other scientific progress like the guillotine.
