Community Reviews
This 65 inch Sony BRAVIA XR A75L is a strong OLED pick for movies, streaming, gaming, and dark room viewing, with excellent picture quality and 120 hertz support. The comments also point to Sony soundbar integration, a solid remote, and a feature set that sits just below the pricier Bravia 8 and A90J. The main drawbacks are limited availability, older model status, and reports that Google TV can struggle with live TV pause and some apps. It is a compelling value at this clearance price if the room is not especially bright.
dark-room movie and streaming viewers who want an OLED because this model is described as a "favorite dark room TV" and the current clearance price is called "amazing."
people buying a 65-inch Sony OLED mainly for movies, streaming, gaming, or even using it as a monitor because commenters say there are "almost no TVs which are better than this at this price point" and call it an "all round excellent" option.
buyers who can find one in their area and want to take advantage of limited-time clearance because community members note the price is about $300 less than the previous deal and shipping/free pickup is available where offered, but availability is very limited.
OLED buyers who are comfortable adding protection for dead-pixel risk because commenters say Geek Squad's dead-pixel policy can send a technician and refund the purchase price if a dead pixel happens during the warranty period.
people who watch OTA live TV and rely on Android TV apps because at least one commenter suggests Android TV may support OTA pause with a 16GB stick and recommends keeping apps updated (and using a Roku backup for apps that perform worse).
people who need to pause OTA live TV directly on the TV because a commenter says their Bravia 8 "can not pause live TV," which they found shocking compared with cheaper Roku-based TVs.
buyers who watch SDR cable TV in a bright room because commenters caution that WOLED brightness isn't great and that it's "def not bright," especially with SDR cable TV content.
shoppers who want the newest model year for the same money because one commenter questions the value of buying an older model when 2025 models are available for the same price.
people who care a lot about acoustic sound+ from Sony's higher models because a commenter says they would buy this if it had the same acoustic sound+ as higher models, but that's why they consider pricier options.
buyers who are very sensitive to app performance on Google TV because a commenter reports Google TV app issues on their Bravia 8 (Fan Duel choppy/low frame rate and Tablo not pausing 1080i properly).

eg.... 2018 X900F it was manufactured from 2018 to 2020!!
First, I watch over the air TV and my last few TVs have been Roku based. The Bravia 8 can not pause live TV, and it was a complete shock to me that new TVs exist that can't do what every $100 Onn or other cheap Roku-based TV has been able to do for a decade.
Second, the Google TV OS that I was happy to get struggles with two apps I've tried, Fan Duel Sports (needed for Cavs games) and Tablo (the dang hardware/app I added to fix the stupid lack of OTA TV pause). The Fan Duel app gets choppy after a while, low frame rate. The Tablo app will not pause 1080i main broadcast channels properly, only 480 subchannels.
If these things don't matter to you, it's a great TV otherwise. Not sure how similar the A75L is or if these issues would be similar, my guess is that the 2025 XR8B might have the same problems as a Bravia 8. It's beautiful though, I like the remote, and integration with a nice Sony soundbar is excellent. It just do everything I want it do, and expected it to do, without additional hardware, which seems downright silly.
