geek squad's policy for dead pixels is by far the best in the industry and oled tech guarantees pixel degradation over time, it's just the nature of the tech although it has improved significantly over the past decade. if you get even a single dead pixel during the warranty period, geek squad sends a technician over, they verify it, and they refund you the price you paid for the tv. there are even people that try to get dead pixels before the warranty period ends because the process is completely hassle free.

First, I watch over the air TV and my last few TVs have been Roku based. The Bravia 8 can not pause live TV, and it was a complete shock to me that new TVs exist that can't do what every $100 Onn or other cheap Roku-based TV has been able to do for a decade.
Second, the Google TV OS that I was happy to get struggles with two apps I've tried, Fan Duel Sports (needed for Cavs games) and Tablo (the dang hardware/app I added to fix the stupid lack of OTA TV pause). The Fan Duel app gets choppy after a while, low frame rate. The Tablo app will not pause 1080i main broadcast channels properly, only 480 subchannels.
If these things don't matter to you, it's a great TV otherwise. Not sure how similar the A75L is or if these issues would be similar, my guess is that the 2025 XR8B might have the same problems as a Bravia 8. It's beautiful though, I like the remote, and integration with a nice Sony soundbar is excellent. It just do everything I want it do, and expected it to do, without additional hardware, which seems downright silly.
As for some apps sucking in android, yes that is true sometimes. Have a roku as a backup for certain apps and keep the apps updated as some times they fix them.
Very nice TV with an 8.8 rating on rtings I can highly recommend it. I did a bit of research and apparently you're not missing anything that matters by buying a 2023 version, nothing has changed in this line since 2022. I don't know how much better TV's can get than this honestly other than a higher resolution eventually, it's such a huge step up from the dead 5 year old LED Vizio it's replacing.
